100th Anniversary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was celebrated with youth at the Embassy.

By the Order signed by H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Centenary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) is being celebrated this year.

The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of India held next celebration of the 100th Anniversary of ADR on April 27, 2018 in Delhi.

Youth of India from different states young researchers, journalists, representatives of NGOs, business people, activists and students attended the celebration.

Mr. Jeyhun Aliyev, Charge d’ Affaires of the Embassy briefed the audience about Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan (DRA) – the first democratic and secular state of the Middle East and its history, state-building process, legislative activities, foreign policy He highlighted similarities between independence struggle of both nations.

Charge d'Affaires informed that despite the DRA lasted 23 months, the Republic of Azerbaijan restored independence in 1991 based on democratic, secular and multicultural values of the DRA and became a modern, powerful state now.

Significant efforts by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, vital importance of His far-sight policy and talented leadership in securing and strengthening independence and sovereignty of Azerbaijan was highlighted.

Leading economic position of Azerbaijan in the region and rapid development of the country by leadership of H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was also underlined.

Charge d'Affaires informed the audience on economic opportunities of Azerbaijan, its relations with neighbor states and other countries, current situation in Caucasus, advantage of the geostrategic position of the country on the crossroads of international corridors, such as Nort-South and East-West projects.

Representatives of Indian youth expressed their opinion on relations between Azerbaijan and India within Azerbaijan-India Youth Dialog- 2018. The event lasted by interactive dialogue about Azerbaijan and discussing activities of youth on strengthening relations of youth of both countries in future.
